‘Ludo’ & ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ Editor Ajay Sharma Succumbs To COVID-19; Celebs Mourn His Demise

<p><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;Ajay Sharma, who worked in films like ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Ludo’, ‘Pyar Ka </span><span data-contrast="auto">Punchnama</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;2’, ‘Indu Ki&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">Jawani</span><span data-contrast="auto">’, ‘</span><span data-contrast="auto">Karwaan</span><span data-contrast="auto">’ and &lsquo;Crook&rsquo;, passed away due to COVID-19 complications. He took his last&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">breath</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;at a Delhi&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">hospital.</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;Sharma was in his late 30s.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">A source close to Ajay told ABP News, &ldquo;He was admitted in the ICU ward of Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital in New Delhi since the last two weeks. He died sometime between 1-2am.&rdquo; Sharma is&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">survived&nbsp;by</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;his wife and 4-year-old son.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Ajay Sharma also worked as an assistant editor for films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Yeh&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">Jawani</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;Hai&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">Deewani</span><span data-contrast="auto">’, ‘</span><span data-contrast="auto">Agneepath</span><span data-contrast="auto">’, ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Life in Metro’, ‘The Dirty Picture’. <p><span data-contrast="auto">He had&nbsp;edited the hit web series &lsquo;Bandish Bandits&rsquo;, which beamed on Amazon Prime. Anand Tiwari, who directed the series, opened up about Sharma&rsquo;s untimely death while talking to ABP News.&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">"Ajay was&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">a</span><span data-contrast="auto"> editor and had amazing potential. We have lost a very young and talented editor. I work with him further. I was keen to work with him again and we had discussions about it. Not only me, the entire industry will feel the void after his demise."</span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Tinsel town celebs expressed their grief and mourned Ajay’s death on social media.&nbsp; Shriya Pilgaonkar got emotional while penning her thoughts. She wrote, &ldquo;Devasted is an understatement. We lost Ajay Sharma today. Not just an incredibly fine editor but an absolute gem of a human being. Nothing makes sense.&rdquo;</span></p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">Ajay’s last project was ‘Rashmi Rocket’, which stars Taapsee Pannu in lead role. The production house RSVP Movies paid a heartfelt tribute to Sharma on Twitter. "Thank you for giving us the best visual &amp; emotional experience of storytelling through your work. #AjaySharma, your presence amongst us will be deeply missed. Rest in peace," the tweet read.<br /></span></p>
